PlateDesignTools

Probe-card & probe-pin plate design, automated in AutoCAD

Guide plates and space transformers carry thousands of micro-holes. PlateDesignTools does the repetitive parts — converting hole shapes, generating holes from coordinates, checking clearances, laying out DUT arrays, numbering pins, exporting to CSV — so your designers don't.

What it does

Holes & shapes

  • Convert circles to rectangles (and other shapes) at their centers
  • Copy any object onto every circle center in a selection
  • Generate holes from Excel — x,y,r circles or x,y,w,h rectangles
  • Place objects from Excel coordinates
  • Configurable Excel column aliases (your headers → x / y / w / h / r)

Checks & layout

  • Clearance / minimum-spacing check (DRC) on selected entities, with highlight
  • Debug DXF export of the check result
  • DUT array generation with row / column skip
  • Polyline / rectangle rotation about center
  • µm ↔ mm conversion on selected geometry

Output

  • Hole info → CSV export (coordinates, sizes, pin numbers)
  • Pin-number labeling
  • Configurable CSV encoding, pin-number column name, export directory

Fits your shop

  • Settings profiles — layer names, default sizes, clearance rules, DUT defaults
  • No proprietary file format — works on your existing AutoCAD drawings
  • Compact companion window meant to sit beside AutoCAD

Screenshots

[Add 3–5 screenshots in /assets/ and reference them here — e.g. the companion window, a clearance check result, a DUT array, a CSV export. A short demo video (YouTube/Vimeo embed) works well too.]
